I was on a blockship part of mulberry harbourHMSSUMATRA an old dutch cruiser after we scuttled her we had to wait to be taken of,this should have been done before we sunk,the boat thatfinally came for us couldn't take us all so about adozen of were told to wait the boat would come back for us,we'd still be waiting if an army duck w hadn't come by,the pongoe's were looking for things to liberate?as theycalled it,they took us to the beach the beachmaster had40 fits we wern't onhis list,we were finally taken aboard aliberty ship to Sheerness typical navy. |
