RAF Hospital Rauceby in 1945 written by Nina Hay (now Davidson)
I wonder if anyone remembers the fire at RAF Hospital Rauceby? I think it may have been at Easter, certainly it followed a dance in the dining hall and was said to have been caused electrically. It was quite scary, but we got the patients to safety, (most of us in pyjamas and curlers as it occurred in the middle of the night!) and although a lot of damage was done, no one was seriously hurt.
Were you there? Do I remember you? Do you remember me?
Look forward to your own memories of those days.
Best wishes from Nina.
