HMS in 1963 written by Raymond Walker
Im actually doing this for my dad, He served HMS Ganges 63-64 annex tiger mess main camp Blake 3. HMS Vernon 64-65 He remembers Geordie Morrison from bolden colligry - durham, Willy Keeble from galsgow, Mick Spooner from essex(was a boxer) and Phil matthews from manchester area (boxer).He was also on the HMS Agincourt battle class destroyer Here he was called runaway fred as he was slways going on absent without leave..He would love to catch up with anyone from 8 Mess and remembers Les Carrigan from Bishop Brigs Glasgow.There was also an American who he met i dont have many fetails off him but they were no older than 18yrs met for 1day and both got banned fromt he isle of bermuda for life...so some eventful night.Apparently the pair of you switched clothes and got very drunk and ended the night falling through someones window. He served in so many countries that i am going to have to ask him more details. He would love to get in touch with anyone who he served with. |
