Korea in 1968 written by Colin Bowie
We were part of (the important one)the UN Platoon, Honour Guard, HQ 8th Army, for bull**** duties. It was July 4, American Independance Day, we didn`t want to Parade but we were ordered out by the Brig. a Brit. They thought they would have a 52 gun salute, but as they were(Are) not professionals like us RA bods they only got off 12 rounds & had a miss-fire,no-one knew what to do so the Band Master decided that the best thing was to start playing, that woke up the Parade Cdr and we were marched off.Is the war over yet? |
