| Forces Reunited Launches its new polls service. | 15/1/2008 | | The new Polls service launched just this week, enables British Forces and Forces Veterans to have their say when voting, but in addition to that they may also submit polls of their own that they would like to see other forces members opinions on.
Dominic Hayhoe Managing Director of Forces Reunited said "We have already had quite a few polls added by our members with some questions as controversial as should servicewomen serve on the front line?"
He continued "We hope this will be a well used service by our members and first impressions definetly make it seem like it will be. Peronally my favourite so far was submitted by Arthur Roswell who asked - If a political party wants to go to war, should their political leaders head the troops into battle?. If only!"
"This new service will give the British Forces and Forces Veterans an anonymous voice to vote, its about time they were heard!"
Have your say now, vist Forces Reunited at http://www.forcesreunited.org.uk or visit our polls section directly at http://www.forcesreunited.org.uk/poll_list.asp
NOTE TO EDITORS: If you are ever in any need of a news worthy story on the British Forces, our new polls section gives you direct access to thoughts of the British Forces and Forces Veterans.
We have over 360,000 members on Forces Reunited with over a quarter of a million visitors every month.
If you cant find what youre looking for please feel free to create your own poll that youre looking for some feedback on. |

| | SSAFA Applauds Families Face-to-Face Reunion with Forces | 1/8/2007 | | Troops serving in Basra and in Afghanistan who face the invisible terrors of a determined, ruthless enemy have been given a morale booster through the ground-breaking innovation of Forces Reunited who has developed a "Face to Face" Video Reunion Service that is unique to Forces Reunited members and their families, worldwide.
This innovative service, launched today will allow all of the 340,000 members of Forces Reunited to see and speak with their families and friends whether they are serving in theatres of war or enjoying the sunshine in Australia or stationed in the Falklands Islands.
Helen Walker, Director of Fundraising at SSAFA Forces Help congratulated Forces Reunited on the launch of this new and valuable Video Reunion Service. "We are sure that it will provide both Serving and ex-Service men and women with a much needed facility to allow them to see and speak with their loved ones wherever they may be – it is a very worthy innovation".
Simon Weston OBE, Honorary Patron for Forces Reunited says: "This is a first for any forces reunion website in the UK and a great Morale Booster for troops serving at the sharp end in Iraq and Afghanistan".
Simon continued: "Nothing is worse than the thought that you are going out to do your duty for ‘Queen and Country’ in a foreign land and that you may never see your loved ones again, at least, not until you manage to return to the UK on leave or on a stretcher. This Video Reunion Service is a fantastic development and service by Forces Reunited and I encourage everyone to use it. It will be a lasting memory for our boys and girls families and friends."
Serving members of our armed forces can now see and speak with their loved ones wherever they may be, providing they have a computer and a web-cam facility, by logging on to www.forcesreunited.org.uk and clicking on the link.
