Off the Cuff

Just to tell you folks, Im going away.
It will be a few days before I can play.
Never mind, its for the best,
I really feel I could do with a rest.

Hello Glynn.

Rhymes off the cuff!

As I was driving down Mulgoa Road
Right in my lane was a huge ugly Toad
I swerved to the right then back to the left
The Toad survived cos I was really quite deft
I looked in my mirror and there was a Truck
Poor ugly Toad, it had run out of luck.
The truck driver, he just could not give a F#@!

(Clean thoughts please, I was going to say Fig.)

Later that day I was driving back home
and there was the toad, he was not alone
His friends had turned up and had bandaged his leg
And now he was as good as a freshly laid egg.
It just goes to show one can burst his own bubble,
When you look through a mirror you could end up in trouble!

Hope you and your lovely half have a good rest Allan.

Hello Glynn.

Rhymes off the cuff

It  looks like our Chris would like us to go
He’s posted his threads one after the other,
But I think that he really must know,
That he can try, but he just should’nt bother
No matter on which page our thread appears,
or even that some have poor scans
We’ll keep posting until we’re red in the ears
and our eyes are as round as pans
some are so bad they reduce one to tears
and others are good and quite clever,
It looks as though it might go on for years
or even perhaps forever.

Just joshing Chris. Like your jokes, keep em coming.

Always remember you're unique. Just like everyone else!

oh! our Allan is going away,
you must need the rest,

while your away we’ll miss your words of rhyme,
but Ron will do what he can in the meantime,

please hurry back,
cos this way of talking ,
i just can’t hack....

my Phil ,he says,he can’t see why,
writing poems i don’t have the notion.
cause if words were water ,
i could easily fill more than one oceon
