Where’s plan ’B’?
It’s just been announced that the Government has had to borrow an extra £557million last month on top of the £600million it had to borrow due to their miscalculations, they are now borrowing more than the last administration did at their highest point, & are blaming it on the drop in tax revenues. Could this be due to the fact that they have sacked thousands of public employees who instead of paying tax are now drawing the dole? & that the knock on effect has seen thousands of private sector workers sacked & rather than paying tax are now on the dole? Maybe it could also be laid on the fact that they have cut corporation tax meaning that big business’s are paying less to the exchequer?
At the same time they are shouting from the roof tops that unemployment figures are down. What they haven’t said is that their new draconian rules for the unemployed means that we have a record number of people excluded from claiming the dole, most for minor infringements of the new regulations. They are very quiet about the fact that there has been a massive increase in part time jobs (now at record levels), mainly from people who want full time employment but can’t find any. They also have failed to say that unemployment is still at the levels of the 1980’s. In the Liverpool area cash in hand employment is once again rife (after it’s die back in the 2000’s) because it suits the bosses to employ someone by the day & not have to pay the state, I’m willing to bet the same situation is now common throughout the UK.
Taking in all of this isn’t it time the Government develop a plan ’B’ & have a full time chancellor of the exchequer instead of the part time one we have at present? What does the panel think?

I am sure you are right Scouse, the increase no doubt due to the fact that they now have to work longer hours in the black economy, to make up for some of the benefits they may have lost. Although not officially working, they would wish to maintain their standard of living.

Quoting: Mike Pass Scouse, you will recall my ’Plan B’ !!!!!
It is conclusive, efficient and rids us of sleazebag Tory MPs, thieving scumbag Labour MPs and all the other pointless gravy train commuters.
Alright Mike, In some ways a Westminster restricted Armageddon would be welcome but I wouldn’t trust our military leaders to run a booze up in a brewery.

Alright Michael, A lot of lads have been made redundant & there are very few legitimate jobs going, as a man can’t look after his family on what the state gives out they have to work ’the scratch’ for less money to make ends meet. Most, if not all, the lads working ’the scratch’ would prefer to have a legal full time job.
