Women Bishops?

The debate within the Church of England on whether or not women should become Bishops continues. I find the whole thing puzzling, because all the Bishops I have ever encountered have been called Grace and wear frocks, so what’s the problem. If they do decide to allow Bishops to ’come out’, or whatever, will the revised prayer ending be ’Apersons’ ?

Afterthought on behalf of the Stupid Party.

If a Bishop’s wife has a baby, do they fire the Canon?

Being serious why should they not become Bishops?

Being frivolous even if they do could they ever have a Bishopric!!!!!

Lady Bishops

I see no reason why ladies should not be Bishops. Many female clergy I have met are excellent Ministers in the church. Perhaps their presence at Synods would be a wake up call to the Church of England - and I say that as a Wesleyan.......

The Archbishop of Christchurch [NZ] is a woman, and a Canadian woman at that! All mainstream churches need to revise their thinking actually, and maybe they’ll find a way to get bums on pews again. Where women feature is a minor issue really, given the church generally has much more serious issues!
