My only recent contact with one of them has just cost me my job with the ’Samaritans’ who won’t even discuss it with me!
I was on duty the other night and a chap rang in and said. "My name is Achmed bin Azziz, I am about to commit suicide! I am lying across the railway track waiting for the train."
All I said was, "Keep calm and stay on the line"...
