Sorry to burst Val’s bubble but the Queen doesn’t send out congratulatory cards unless they are applied for.   Our daughter took the opportunity, while we were coincidentally at Cannock, to look through my document case (where everything is filed away neatly I may say) to find our Wedding Certificate for the details.  We had talked about it but decided not to bother.

So folks if you want a card from Liz when it’s your sixtieth anniversary you need to apply or have someone do it for you.
