Quoting: Arthur(Roly) Rowsell
Just a quick note to say that I arrived in Cairns late last night and was totallly whacked. Good journey, but far to long. Booked into the YHA and slept like a log for 6 hours. Not dawn yet, but I am raring to get up and at them.
Lot warmer here and sunny as well.
I will come back on later after I have been for a walk.

Hi there Roly.     Glad to hear that you have landed safely in Cairns and had a good journey despite the length.

Did you lie about your age to get into the YHA??!      Watch out that one of those young back-packers doesn’t creep into your sleeping bag and give you a heart attack!  They get disorientated after a few cans of the amber nectar.

Have a lovely time and watch out for those Cairn Terriers ......  they might give you a licking.

p.s.  Thanks for the messages on FB.

CF 177........Just returned after being AWOL.

Good Evening or should I say Good Morning.
I am James from Aberdeen and I havousee been absent from FR for somwe time now. Mostly due to my caring duties looking after my wife who suffers from dementia.
I rejoined tonight as a full member.
I remember a few of the family,.June from up the road from here....The wee Ballymena man,The Song Bird,Scouse. Patricia, Roly.
I have just got Joyce settled now so I am able to crank up the lap top.
I might get some sleep and then again I might not................
Hi Scouse I had to laugh when I read your post about the Barbers where you get a nip and a half.
I wonder if that barbers was there when I was in the Pool.

Well thats me back again........I will try to get back on line again tomorrow night,
Good Night......sleep well,sleep safe,

See You Later Alligator.

Welcome back, James.  I hope that you manage to get a decent night’s sleep.  It’s not easy I know but CF will always give you support when you need it.

Alright James, Welcome back to the fold mate. I’m sorry to hear about your wife, dementia is a horrible thing for all involved you have my unreserved respect sir.

As for my barber, he’s only been going since 2001. It’s a great retreat to the old ’men only’ world, the only problem with the place is that Billys’ father was Geoff Twentyman (a Liverpool player & scout) & I’m an Evertonian.

A situation may be desperate but never serious
