Leading Airman John William Wellbelove, died, HMS Goshawk, Trinidad, 17 Jan 1941.
I have the CWGC & RN death index details, but wonder where I might find out more information. For example, will his death likely to be have caused by say a ’training accident’ rather than in combat, and what records might survive of the base during WW2.

A lot of servicemen were killed that day when the SS Almeda Star was attacked by a u-boat.
