Recession

The 60year Anniversary Parades and shows around the country and the forth coming Olympic Games, Billions being spent on these and they say this country is in recession, who is kidding who, all that money could have been spent on the needs of this country instead of being wasted on a show for the Royal Family, how much of the taxpayers money was spent on this and how much did the Royals put to it I wonder--this poor old country is about on it knees and money is being frittered on shows such as these, sorry but I for one did`nt do any flag waving and my thumb is sore from switching  the remote off for the TV, I am sure that there was more than me doing this over the last 3 days, I`m sure we will have a few honours being made in the NewYears Honours List over this especially kissar-e Cameron, bound to be at least a "Sir"in it for him.

Awaiting for the incoming broadsides and flak

Recession

I’ll hoist my colours alongside yours, Dave, and I agree with your sentiments 100%. The Olympic Games has become a game of one-upmanship, to spend more money than anyone else. As regards the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, I would have thought a Royal carriage drive to a service in Westminster Abbey would have fitted the bill. The flotilla on the Thames was pathetic, with the likes of Pippa Middleton sharing the limelight. If they couldn’t do the Jubilee as well as they did the Silver Jubilee in 1977, they should have left it.

They really could have saved some money and not offended anyone........ Do without that Roayal Lunch to start with.   Get a Lift in Alys taxi to a Kebab shop (Phillip would ge a discount) then on to McDonalds, call into Balham Social clubto watch Humperdink sing  and Twirl up through the Mall and home again. Sorted.

Dear oh dear, Lads,

How sad that you cannot see,
with all the modern infiltrations and interferences in British life, as we knew it,
That this is exactly what the Country needed to feel like we did in the past.

Proud to be British, proud to serve our Monarch, taking back our heritage in the most splendid way in front of the whole world.

As a kid, did you not enjoy the coronations,? the weddings, ? the respect of great warriors funerals ?and the sadnesses of past ’people of note’ that we felt for...Princess Margarets’ life, Diana’s life, a Family bound to duty.?

Did you not boast of our Royalty and the best country in the world whilst abroad on service.
Do you begrudge our young people getting a taste of real history? and not what they see in the UK today????

Have you lost the ability to analyse and reasonably draw some good out of the monumental effort  of the participants to bring us joy, once again?
Most of all, do you begrudge Her Majesty , Queen Elizabeth II , the opportunity to show her gratitude also, for our thanks and support of her 60 years hard work, and of which she is still doing, no retirement there,.......

Well Guys, you are a total disappointment to your regiments and battallions and all services to the Queen, that have gone before, and in whose contributions we remain forever grateful and we shall remember them....as in the reminders of the history of the Monarchy , so close in unity with the people , as in the Dunkirk Little Boats, and the gratitude of the free world.

God save the Queen and Long may She Reign over us,
God save the Queen.!

And bugger the taxes, we all spend more on worthless shite.

So that’s it then? I’m a total disappointment. My teachers were right all along.

The only problem is I don’t have any sackcloth and ashes, because I’m a nudist and I don’t smoke.

I would go down to the bottom of the garden and eat worms, but I’m a vegetarian.
