Now please forgive me but I am ex RAF and done really know how the army badges work, I realize the royal artillery has a coat of arms but I am wondering if the 48 fld reg would have had one of their own?? and if so where could I start to look?
Hello Chris, you are forgiven for being RAF
As an army type I will attempt to assist you.
Army Units do not use coats of Arms they use a Unit Crest or a Cap Badge.
The Royal Artillery have a Cap Badge of an Artillery piece.
An individual unit with in the Corps of Royal Artillery may have their own Crest.
48th Field Regiment, was based in Tampin, Malaya approx 1957-59. With one Battery in Ipoh.
Sadly I have not been able to locate a unit Crest.
Attached is the Royal Artillery Cap Badge in Colour: [Royal Artillery in Colour.jpg] | | Report Post |
