JD, I saw that he was leaving on his own accord and so would you mate if you had this lot ganging up on you when ever you opened you mouth,I`ve noticed that all the posts by Maurice there were the same people that were disagreeing with every word that he wrote. As for calling Scousers surely they don`t get offended of being called a few names, people call us Cumbrians "Turnip Heads" but we don`t go crying about it----I call Scousers "Irish Paddy`s" are you all going to gang up on me for that or maybe get me removed from FR like one person that I know for speaking his mind(no names,no pack drill!!!)
Don`t have doubts about me John some day you may need the likes of me and others to "champion" you when you get on the wrong side of others,

David, I don�t mind you calling me an Irish Paddy but there are some Liverpool-born people in Liverpool�s Chinatown who may not like it very much!! I would not dream of insulting you by calling you a Turnip Head.
By the way, I am not an Irish Paddy!!

Dave,

Without backtracking all the way to my remarks concerning Maurice I think they were simply asking him to refrain from slagging off Scouse and suggesting that a decent course of action would be to apologise for his insults. Nothing wrong with that I believe. I post as an individual and do not belong to any gang, real or imaginary.

Maurice has raised hackles on here on several threads with his style of unrepentant posting. It is all very well and good claiming that one posts as one feels and refusing to apologise but an attitude like that invites responses such as he has attracted.

In the past, and I am confident that the longer serving members on here will back me up, if I ever find myself at fault I am always willing to hold up my hand and say sorry. Maurice it seems will not do that. Fair enough but he cannot be surprised when he gets answers such as he has had.

In fact it seems that your post has brought about more posts on a thread which would probably have died the death had you not done so and brought about a certain forming into opposing sides. Sometimes it is better to let sleeping dogs lie. If Maurice feels he wishes to leave that is his decision but I see no evidence that he has been pressured into doing so.
