Surely, as a mere male, you didn’t expect sympathy from your nearest and dearest for such a minor incident? I once fell down the entire flight of stairs at home because I was wearing shoes with smooth soles.
My backside hit every blasted one on the way down and I was lying winded, flat out on the bottom few stairs expecting my wife to rush into the hallway to find out what had happened.
After a while I trudged into the living room where all I got was a casual enquiry as to whether or not I had heard a noise.
