I was sitting around this morning having a quiet think, when suddenly I thunk, - have little kiddywinks been encouraged to start smoking by reading children’s books. In particular I would point the finger at Thomas the Tank Engine and Puff the Magic Dragon.

Plus we were brought up with the Tar Babys, Bill InHaley, Tab Hunter aynd Smokey Robinson.

Ps. I would respectfully remind you Mr. Richards that this is under "Hot Topic" where Jocularity is frowned upon.

I think, Mr Daly, you will find that both tank engines and dragons are hot.

Fifteen love to JR I think.  Nowt wrong with a bit of jocularity in the right place and there are plenty of examples of it in these threads just so long as it doesn’t divert the subject too much.  So please let’s not let it develop further Gents.

Please note also that I have put ’Gents’ and not ’gents’ even though it’s not a ’Capital’ Offence.

How do you know that "Puff" isn’t a name associated, not with smoking, but sexual proclivity?

Terry, I was joking, think John knew that hence his reply.

Well i have encountered a few Boilers and a few Dragons in my time who were anything but hot, though a drop of  Mountain dew blurred that fact at the time.
