Hhhmmm!!!!!

Carl, Maurice’s posts can take some deciphering but I think his issue is that he does not know how to delete   messages after reading.
In a way I can understand where he is coming from. If one does not know where to find the delete ’execute’ which is a long way down the left hand window of the in page it can be quite confusing.
Whilst there is a check box against each msg (not email.....) for the purpose of deletion it is still necessary to abseil down the page to the execute ’button’

This is, of course IF he is referring to the FR messaging service and not his ISP or independent mailbox!!!!

Damnant quod non intellegunt.

OK both

Me to is not knowing that delete executing button proper innit.

I think that the problem most casual computers have is with the jargon.

For instance to me, normally, an email is the one I get from relatives, businesses and so on via Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Live Mail.  To others it is another email setup such as gmail...and so on.

When in FR I know, and use, my mailbox, and would probably refer the mailbox contents as "Messages".  I delete my FR messages by clicking the delete button to the right of the message in the inbox...this seems to get rid of the email, and I can do this one message at a time.  I seldom have more than 6 messages in there before I start deleting.   There is a button at the bottom of the inbox page labelled "delete" but i have not yet found a reason for using it, although it appears to be able to check and delete all messages at one click.

Maurice, no matter how clever I think I am with computers, nor how many folk I help, there is always something around the corner that I can learn.

In my early days an IT pro told me that the only way to learn about computers was to press buttons, and he was right....only trouble is that if your press the wrong button you lose lots of stuff...so press away, but with caution.

Carl

I fear the geek, even though he comes bearing gifs.

Hhhmm!!!!

If you look at the left hand window which indicates the msgs that you have received (containing a few words of the start of said msg) there is a delete check box. Let’s say that you have 20 msg and you have read all that you wish to, you will check the box on all that you wish to delete.
Following this, scroll a way down the page and you will find a ’delete all’ button.
Hit that.....boom, gone.
I will just go and check that for you.
