Alright Alan, You do seem to have a thing about the ’Left Wing’ don’t you. Grouping the Quebracho movement with run of the mill Left Winger such as me is akin to me saying the Tories & the BNP are the same.

I didn’t read any comment about "left" or "right", so maybe Johnny Cash had the right idea....

Well, the one on the right was on the left
And the one in the middle was on the right
And the one on the left was in the middle
And the guy in the rear was a Methodist

Well, the one on the right was on the left
And the one in the middle was on the right
And the one on the left was in the middle
And the guy in the rear burned his driver’s license

Alright Colin, That’s why I copied & pasted the paragraph in which he made his (usual) left wing inferences. Every so often is fair game but it seems like every time he post he has to drag in the extreme left & tar us all with the same brush, how would he like it if every time (& now there is ample opportunity) the right of center parties do something stupid I posted about right wing agitators & traitors? He seems to think if you’re not Tory or further to the right you’re a communist out to destroy the world as we know it. He really should get out more.

Ps  I like the lyrics.

A situation may be desperate but never serious

I’ve known him a long time, and he’s fairly apolitical I would say, and he does get out a bit, a lot in fact, though he only ever makes left turns, which you can do in Norfolk and still get home!

The point of the lyrics was that left, right, and centre are meaningless political assessments, and when anyone does mention the left it doesn’t indicate a personal attack on you!

Alright Colin, I didn’t say it was a personal attack on me, what I do say is that it gets bloody boring when 90% of his post have an ill-informed anti-left wing slant. Like I said he comes over as thinking that if you’re not a Tory then you’re a Communist, it would appear he has a lot to learn about politics. How would it be if I reported every extremist right wing instigated problem as being caused by the (to paraphrase Alan) "rent a crowd" right wingers?

A situation may be desperate but never serious

Falklands

This thread is going away from topic - as so many do on this site, but here is a question that puzzles me.
Why do so many British ’experts’, including Generals, Admirals and Air Marshals bleat on in the press that we don’t have the military resources to fight another Falklands war? Do they really want to invite the Argies to try again?
