That photo reminded me of why I left the shores of England.........That is apart from the policemen who were chasing me!
Just heard on the radio this morning that some 22.000 Irish emigrated to Australia last twelve months and that figure is likely to double in the next 12 months...... Are you having another ’Potatoe Famine’ Colum? When are you coming over?
Just gone 0538 and the skies are beggining to lighten over the coast. Showers overnight and offshore a large bank of clouds are dumping vast quantities of rain over the ’oggin and I hope it remains out that way.
Huge funeral on the coast today. One of the local lads who was in a surfing carnival at the Gold Coast last week and never came out of the water alive, is being buried. The whole South East Queensland surfing community are attending the service in Caloundra this morning as he was very popular and only 15 years old. It will be busy.
I am up early as I could not take more than the 8 hours allocated for sleep. I had been snoozing a bit yesterday. That will teach me to cut down on the ’Nanny Naps’

’Entertain daughter’ day is today.
 I wonder how much that will cost!
