The Top Job

Now that Dr Rowan Williams has announced that he is to retire later this year, the task of choosing his successor must be tackled.

We have lined up:-
John Sentamu - York
Richard Chartres - London
Graham James - Norwich
Nicholas Baines - Bradford
Roger Perry - Forces Reunited

I would recommend Roger Perry not only because he has a great sense of humour, but because he would have the on site guidance of one of the Carey family. I would also point out that it would do us all no harm to have a friend in high places.

Hhhmmm!!!!

I am extremely disappointed to see that there is no Atheist candidate!
In the light of this my vote goes to R. Perry, Sky pilot by the grace of his God, innit!

Damnant quod non intellegunt.

My vote goes to Dawn French, the original chocoholic. She could certainly bring some levity into the C of E and would have no problems in supporting Women Bishops. O.K. so she ain’t really a Reverend but who could tell the difference?

Live long and prosper

Rev. Rog. gets my vote.

Only problem I see is  he may want to build his new Palace in Bournville  and again if he goes to York Minster the Terrys and Rowntrees Factorys will be under siege.

Steve. So are you saying that Dawn and Rev. Rog. are the same size?.
