Not that humorous, but very tautologous!

Hi Guys and Gals

I’m a bit rusty in my interface with FR but I’ll try to keep up. I’ve been renewing old places and faces - Thanks for the welcome back Mick, Rowly, Murray and Terry - but dont know how long I’ll stay this time cos I guess I get bored easily......Not that you’re boring I hasten to add....Oh now what have I said? I can’t retract it now. However, (comma -Terry?) I suppose I could edit it...I suppose??? Oh what the heck nobody knows me, so I can do anything really.

A lot of things have happened to me in life. I’ve done a lot - most of what I wanted to do - but the biggest influence was the 11 years three months and 15 days I spent in the RN from 1959-1970. What is it about the services that has this effect on me (us?)

Answers on a postcard or on the back of a sealed down cheque to the usual address.

Boring???? I think not!

ps please direct me to the right thread.

Thanks

George

I remember you George, from way back and I was a founder member on this site and it’s predecessors. So welcome back!

What is  the overriding factor of this site, or should be, is that regardless of where we served and with whom, there is that common link of having been there and done that, and when you boil it all down, that means a lot!

I agree with TC, at one time there would be a multitude of threads on the go in ’Hot topics’, most of which were well thought out & well debated. The same could be said for ’General’. If you wished you could spend hours researching &/or answering them now we have 3 threads all round & we can finish a visit to FR in a matter of minutes.

A situation may be desperate but never serious

Blow me down if I hadn’t almost forgotten about being dubbed Prime Minister by none other than our old friend Roger the Reverend Gentleman.

Well, I didn’t vote for him!
