medal

I was one of the first conscripts of her reign but only those that lined the route were entitled to the Coronation Medal .  A long reign indeed.
i think there has been pressure on some sort of award for all servicemen and women who have served in the forces during this 60 year Reign.:thumb: :thumb:

God Save (and bless) the Queen

She is a wonderful example to so many people round the world, not just in Britain. Long may she reign.

My Brother was one of the many who lined the route but he never had a Medal.  Denis, is this something that could be applied for?.

God save the Queen.

Ain’t the old girl done well, though, Aye,
I can remember her as a beautiful young lady who had the Monarchy thrust upon her but who rose to the occasion with the dignity she still shows today.
Long may her reign continue

A few years back when my younger granddaughter was seven years old I commented that in her younger days the Queen was a very good looking woman who wore plunging neckline dresses and was very attractive.

Said Granddaughter was horrified, and looking very shocked said in a censorious way, ’Grandpa!!!  And you a married man!!!!’

Needless to say this caused a lot of amusement among the family - and still does at times when we recall it.
