Chuff charts

Ken,

If everybody stopped taking the mickey out of me I’d feel withdrawal symptoms.  However, see below for chuff chart for people stopping said activity:-

Day one:-    John Daly stops.
Day two:-    John Richards stops.
Day three:-  Scouse stops.
Day four:-    Mike Pass stops.
Day five:-     Everybody else stops.
Day six:-      TC sits down, weeps sadly, rents
                   raiment, covers head with sack-
cloth and ashes and leaves FR

It’s like this Ken - I love the banter and since I was once a straightman in a vocal/comedy duo it reminds me of those days.

In any case I more often than not actually supply the feed lines and get very disappointed if no one spots them.

TC.

Once a Lancer, always a Lancer!

This thread seems to have gone off the rails, maybe there’s a bogie man somewhere.

Incidently, my Mazda is very Familiar.

Well Terry, I guess it must be that, being of a certain age and perhaps leading somewhat sheltered lives, thee and me never learned what a chuff chart might be.
Of course, the other thing is that it might be peculiar to the RAF. They always were a bit of a funny lot...
Cheers, Syd.

Hi Syd,  I don’t think it’s a term coined by the glorious Royal Air Force.

The first time I heard it called a ’Chuff Chart’ was when my son was on his first tour in Afghanistan and he’s in the Army.

Shakespeare may have asked "What’s in a name?" but in this case I think it’s rather an appropriate one, certainly for those left at home counting down the days.  I know that every time my darling boy landed back at Brize I was extremely chuffed!

*translation note for those not yet aware......  "Chuffed" means very happy/pleased.

John (R),   Ooh!  You are a silly boy!   Of course we wore jimjams.  We’d have looked really silly walking around in just a pair of fluffy slippers!!

O.K.  Sorry to have interrupted the jolly banter.  Do please carry on.......   it’s such fun!
