Britains Fighting Women

Bought the Mail on Sunday today, in the section, Review there is an article by Chantelle Taylor, ex-army Medic, rank Sergeant, superb piece, by a brave and heroic woman/soldier.

I think every ex-serviceman /woman should read this, gives an insight as to what our troops had/have to put up with, it highlights the incompetence of our politicians, it shows that the oft repeated expression "We shall learn the lesson" is just hot air, they are incapable of learning, not since the British defeat of 1842 until the present time, with all that has transpired in between has the country been subdued  by any foreign power, neither will it be.

If members do not buy/read the Sunday Mail, go to Mail Online and click onto, "It Was Him or Me" I strongly recommend reading it.

It highlights the crass criminal incompetence of out political class.

Never say a humorous thing to a man who does not possess humour. He will always use it in evidence against you.

Saw it, read it, and some sort of woman.....Certainly spoke her piece and very well indeed.
Good for her.

Consult the veteran, not the incompetent Politicians.

The article in the paper was extracts from her book.  Retails at £9.99

She was with The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5 Scots in the Stan.

I think that says a lot when you read between the lines.

I’ve read the article and it’s a fine example ----- of purple prose designed to increase book sales.

How could she know that the Taliban fighter was ’firing drug-crazed bursts from his AK47’?

She may well have done what she says and may well be a very courageous woman but it reads a bit like an example of ’gilding the lily’ to me and a few others on another site I go on.
