The only time we shall be truly aware of who has lost the debate is when the Grim Reaper calls time.

I trust it’s not me.

Never say a humorous thing to a man who does not possess humour. He will always use it in evidence against you.

I will not be answering anymore posts on this thread as we have the usual trouble maker trying to ruin it or everyone else as he is currently doing on an other thread.

A situation may be desperate but never serious

Medical Advice???

Some folks start smoking at a very young age and live well into their 90’s plus without getting cancer. My great granda smoked all his life from a very young age, he was 96 years old when he died.

Morality is doing what’s right regardless of what you’re told. Obedience is doing what you’re told regardless of what’s right....What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.

I wonder what a person like him pays in to the NHS versus how much he costs? Was he in hospital because of smoking-related illnesses? If not, the NHS made a fortune out of him AND they’ve made a few quid on me already.  I too can relate many people whom have smoked all their lives & lived in their 80 and nineties.

The argument to that is normally - well think of how long they would have lived without smoking!  There’s no getting around it the anti smoking posse are full of neck.  I wouldn’t want to live past my 90s if I couldn’t do the things I enjoy.  Life would seem eternal without a few things which are bad for you.

No, he just died at home unexpectedly in his sleep. No smoking related illness.

My wife’s grandma who used to work for John Players cigarette factory started smoking at an early age then gave it up in her late 50’s, but with her son’s being heavy smokers she was around second hand smoke constantly.

She died of pneumonia aged 101 when she slipped and broke her hip on the hospital floor.

Every morning she used to have a tot of whisky in her tea.
