Going off the cigarette theme, the medical advice that I was was given concerning pharmaceuticals was based on junk science.
I was told by those in the medical profession, (for many years) doctors, professors etc, that I would have to take medication every day for the rest of my life..........they were all wrong, their treatment was killing me.
Medical science has it’s place, but I wouldn’t risk my life on some of the information they put out to the public, some of it is BAD science.
Some people will believe anything that anyone with authority tells them, some of these experts in their fields, haven’t got a clue themselves, they just follow what they have been taught/indoctrinated, and have to follow that code of ethics.

Morality is doing what’s right regardless of what you’re told. Obedience is doing what you’re told regardless of what’s right....What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.
