Medical Advice???

The BMA have suggested that the Government bring in a law to stop people smoking in their cars if children are being carried. Some  road safety ’experts’ have gone even further and said smoking should be banned in all cars.
How long before someone comes up with the idea that parents who smoke in their own homes should have their children taken into care until they can prove that they have stopped? Why not ban smoking in the home altogether?
If any Government is serious about the harm that smoking does then why don’t they ban the manufacture, distribution, the importation and the possession of smoking materials?
Ah! but think of the lost revenue!!!!!!

Hhhmmm!!!

Well, you said it, Steve. Were it not for the revenue (along with a cheekily used excuse of job losses in the industry) the UK would have been a total smoking banned country years and years ago.
Smoking is banned in my house and my car. For genuine health reasons only!

Get your point, Mike.
I’m a smoker through choice but would never light up in someone else’s home unless invited to.
You would have to have been living on Planet Zog not to have not seen all the health warning about smoking but the sheer hypocrisy of successive Governments gets me.
How long before a camera is placed in every home to monitor what you are doing and if you are not conforming to what the ’Big Brother’ society expects of you, you will be held accountable.

The anti-smoking lobby has lost it. First they started using scare tactics ignoring the other more common carcinogens & then went on to using invented science (the invisable gas that defies the laws of physics). Now they want to stop me smoking in my car, the important words being MY CAR.

A law has to be enforcable, this one (if they brought it out) would not be. If I was charge with smoking in the vehicle I paid for I would not pay any fine or accept anyother ’punishment’ handed down to me they would then have to gaol me & once in gaol I would refuse to eat.

Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Non-Smoker.

A situation may be desperate but never serious
