Halloween Night.
The signs have gone up on our front gate, and if they miss that as they come up the drive, on the front door, and they say: "No trick or treating! Please respect our Privacy".
I could have said:"I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in your idiotic imported American custom so please bugger off and annoy someone else", but I didn’t, I said please don’t bother.
Halloween is, indeed, an imported custom, the sole purpose of which is blatant commercialism by those who import shoddy costumes and masks from China and sell them at inflated prices to kids who haven’t a clue what Halloween is about anyway.

I don’t blame you, Colin (for putting signs up to discourage Trick or Treaters). However, I think you are wrong in saying that this custom is imported because it originated in Ireland & Britain called Guising.

Halloween Night.
I normally put a pair of the wifes tights on my head, stick a light bulb in my mouth and scare the crap out of the little kiddie winkles when I answer the door. Then the wife gives them their treats.
Morality is doing what’s right regardless of what you’re told. Obedience is doing what you’re told regardless of what’s right....What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.
