Hello Scouse. I don’t carry Owens flag or any one elses round here. I don’t purport to have friends or cronies on here as i have not met more than a few and that was just for a very short while.
From what i read i don’t really think i am missing anything by this and certainly would not want to have been Billetted with the majority of Posters round here. As for Owen, i can take him or leave him, if you care to look back to page 5. on here you will see i told him that "You do talk some Fuc...g Rubbish". which is hardly palling him up.
I will continue to post as i see fit, mainly in a Light hearted way and hope that i do not upset you or anyone else Cheers.
Oy John......just because I talk a load of sh*te at times doesn’t mean I can’t be your pal. The wife tells me I talk Fu....g Rubbish all the time... and that’s when she’s being polite.
Morality is doing what’s right regardless of what you’re told. Obedience is doing what you’re told regardless of what’s right....What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.
I wonder how many members of F/Rremember the day in 1975 when the British People last had a vote on Europe (at that time it was related to the Common Market ) well i can and what still sticks in my mind is the Front Page of the Daily Mirror and its full illustration of a Wounded British Serviceman with the Caption underneath worded, WE FOUGHT AND KEPT THIS COUNTRY FOR YOU SO DONT GIVE IT AWAY! but alas they did do ,i think it was a 2to1majority,so dont you think that that result gave polatitions of all persuasions the Mandate to gradualy walk all over the Electorate ,and bit by bit surrender our Sovereignty to the control of the European,s,.

Quoting: Mike Pass Like most of us I can remember a time before entrance to the EU and I sit here asking myself how we managed then??? Quite well, as I recall. I have trouble seeing any real benefit (certainly long term) that has been provided by being part of a club which most of the other members do not want us to be in (other than when it comes to bail outs.) The main dictates that I have seen coming this way are rules on banana shape, name changes of products and other silliness. I think that Steve’s points 1 and 2 would be short lived if indeed they did occur. I agree with his point 3 but would that be any different to what we currently see.
Whether we could withdraw without a deal of damage to ourselves is a moot point. Personally I think that we should but more so I am angry about the circumstances surrounding entry in the first place. We should never have gone in!

Alright Mike, Pre 1973 we were in the European Free Trade Association & had cheap trading links with the Commonwealth & as you say we were getting on very well thank you very much. Then along came Heath, he happily signed the Accession Treaty & Thatcher who signed the European Communities Act which effectively killed EFTA & turned our back on the Commonwealth.
You are right about us not going in in the first place but, here comes the bad bit, now we’re in there’s no where for us to go we have burnt our boats it’s the EU or national suicide.
General summaries do the job for us here, Gerard and I have always preferred to hear from the horses mouth. It would be best on another thread, though and CRAP would be suitable.
OK Mike, thanks for your interest, I will write something on CRAP soon, but for now I’ll just say that things are moving very slow. I haven’t commented much about the quakes lately, old news I suppose.
