Hhhmm!!!

Owen, I was taking Terry’s assumption of those he felt would not be over keen on similar thinking. Let’s not wind back into it again. There are several ’thems’ here and all are at fault. Of course we are included. You came back and had your say regarding the situation. Terry has had his. I have little doubt that Scouse will want to do the same. Steven has seemingly allowed things to ride without comment.
Let’s leave it there and do what was earlier agreed.

OK

Morality is doing what’s right regardless of what you’re told. Obedience is doing what you’re told regardless of what’s right....What is right is not always popular, and what is popular is not always right.

Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrgggggghhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough!

Steven Collins, Owen Hunter, Scouse Hirons, John Daly, Terry Carey and Mike Pass.....Hhhmmm!!!!
The above, to one level or another are making a mockery of these forums by either deliberately trying to wind others up with sheer stupidity/antagonistic posting or defending so vociferously that their own posts turn into insulting ones.

I do not pay my FR fees to waste my time arguing the toss with people who have been here for ever and others who have also been here for quite a while. Yes indeed, I will destroy someone who has just dropped onto the site with intentions of wrecking it. We all know that well. Perhaps we need someone to do that in order to distract us from the total crap that has been flying around this past week.

Is there some kind of King of the Castle competition going on here???? If so it is time that it stopped. Quite simply, because I am capable of expressing myself in an intelligent and understandable manner and the fact that I WILL contest that which I find unacceptable, I seem to be regularly accused of being ’how great I am Mike Pass’.......eh??!! There are several variations.
How sad.

Let’s be very clear on this.....I pay the same level of fee as the rest of you. My service rank (whilst of no interest to me) whilst being of lesser or greater level than yours is of no importance on this site. My views are my views. If you disagree with them, you have every right, and my blessing to question them WITH ME! You do not have any right to insult me over them.
I am not always right, regardless of the fact that some here try to convince themselves that I consider myself omnipotent.

I do not care if you find my posting long winded. If you find it boring, it indicates that you have no interest in the current subject and therefore should take no notice of said post. How hard is that? Given the high level of readership of said posts, some people must be happy with them!!
I will not use three words when one hundred and three will fully explain my view at the time. This is not an instant messaging service. If it were I woud confine myself to the concise. When I first joined the site a number of us used to make very long posts. They were, as far as we know accepted for what they were and enjoyed by those interested.

Yes, we hold some strong views between us, myself more than most, I accept criticism of my hatred of the French (not that this is something that I simply came up with to act the prat), my disgust with Forsyth and my total abhorrence of every last one of our politicians. You will have read me making these ’attacks’ regularly but you will not have read me attacking any member who might have chosen to complain to me about them.

If we wish to make our views strongly then I do not see an issue with that. If we wish to challenge those views, I do not see an issue with that.
If we simply wish to attack each other for our views then I feel that we are in dangerous political territory when you think about it.

I have singled out the group at the heart of this issue at the moment but am not picking out individuals, tempting though it is. I am as guilty of much of this as any of us. There are peripheral posters who like to put in their twopennorth and I hope that they are getting the point too.
We should be saving our energy for the clowns who come here simply to cause trouble as new members.

GIVE IT A BLOODY REST!!!!!.....for everybody’s benefit. Please.

Seing as my name has been mentioned let me tell you where i am. I don’t go in for long winded posts but will continue to post what i feel like, when i like.
I do not feel anything i contribute will cause such offence as to be reported.
If this does occur then i will expect the person concerned to "Pull me over the coals", No one else.

I do not expect or want any reply to this             John Daly.

I have read the last few pages of posts ( sounds like the begining of a song) and would add my thoughts, and I am in no way being critical of anyone. For what I am about to say (type) applies to all.

My thoughts on posting are this, unlike face to face discussions, the vital ingredient missing in the written transmission is the facial expression and the body language.
Things said face to face have the advantage of the twist of the lips, a twinkle in the eye, none of which is observed in the written word.

I would just add to this missive.

When I first joined FR, there was an ongoing debate regarding driving and drivers inconsideration to other road users, me being myself, threw in a few quips, and in a few posts it felt like I had invaded a private club, the point I am making is that very often the written word can easily be misinterpreted, quite often the assumptions of the reader are the opposite to that which is the writers meaning.

Never say a humorous thing to a man who does not possess humour. He will always use it in evidence against you.

Quoting: John (scouse) Hirons

Alright John, That’s a bit ripe coming from you, I tried to return to the threads original theme on page 14 & you chose to carry on flying Owens flag by having a go at respected posters, practice what you preach old son.

Hello Scouse.  I don’t carry Owens flag or any one elses round here. I don’t purport to have friends or cronies on here as i have not met more than a few and that was just for a very short while.

From what i read i don’t really think i am missing anything by this and certainly would not want to have been Billetted with the majority of Posters round here.
As for Owen, i can take him or leave him, if you care to look back to page 5. on here you will see i told him that "You do talk some Fuc...g Rubbish".
which is hardly palling him up.

I will continue to post as i see fit, mainly in a Light hearted way and hope that i do not upset you or anyone else  Cheers.
