Quoting: Steve  Greenwood

Mr. McAuley.  If you read the two posts following your original one, they should have answered your question.  The situation in Iraq was entirely different to the present one in Libya.  The people of Iraq didn’t rise up against their dictator but the people of Libya have, therefore the inheritance question will not arise.

Mr Greenwood sir.
I take it your reply is telling me we will not be sending troops there like Iraq.
That was the answer I was looking for.
Pleased to learn no more lives will be lost in yet another foreign land
Thank you

THE MIDDLE EAST

Apparently Blair has been in contact with Gaddafi in the last couple of days and asked him to call a halt to the ongoing situation by standing down.

Mmmmm!  Got quite a lot of influence with his buddy buddy hasn’t he?

TC.

Gadaffi is clearly a liar, as is his bestest mate Blair, so who better to knock him off? Then with any luck at all Gadaafi’s supporters might hang Blair from the nearest lamp post!

Quoting: John (scouse) Hirons

Alright Arthur, As I’m the main critic of the British governments tardy reaction on this crisis I have to take it you are refering to me. I can assure you that I’m far from being an "armchair critic", you are not the only one on this site that has heard the guns go bang the main difference is we don’t go on about it ad nauseum. I find your slur that I "sit and play games on their pc" offencive to say but the least.

As for having a flea in my ear, think again, the sand has to be treated, flattened & hardened an aircraft can’t land on unprepared desert amen. As for "experience and being at the coal face" I didn’t know you had been in the RAF & a leading expert on modern aircraft capabilities.

If you will tell me which company of the Kings you were in I will tell you were they saw action in WW2 because up to now you seem to claim to have been in all the theaters.

You shouldn’t shout off at the mouth until you know what you’re talking about.

John u seem to have missed the point.
but before i answer let me say that in answer to a comlaint i made to admin recently  they gaveme an answer which said in that message.
YOUR ALL AS BAD AS EACH OTHER.
that is what admin thinks  and tp those who  have hada good name on the forums are not helping themselves in the eyes of others in their constant nit picking. as  has been said it is childish.
1. you have been into  my profile so u have all my particulars of units ect that i  served with both in war timeand peace time. and the answer is  B coy not that u can make anything of that, or can u.
the british infantry is made up of. sections, platoons. company , battalion, regiments.  brigades. divisions,  corps.army group and armies.
i do not want u to tell me what i did or did not do in the war and  state of emergencies in other  so called peace time. in other countries.
i did not refer to you  in my armchair critics,  you yourself seem to have put yourself there.
i wasrefering to if you look around on tv ect  i was refering to the  has beens who wanna be  s
i love our rivalry on our political  views they  make me laugh at times  aswe exchange free speech.
i do not profees to know the full workings or an i a expert of the navy. or the army. or the  air force.
and i do though reconise the  sacrifices they have made,
i do not  consider my self a hero . to me the heroes  were those that we left behind on the battlefield. those who perished at sea , thosewho perishish in the air. they are the heroes.
THOSE WHO NEVER MADE IT.
less we forget.
sorry for hi jacking this topic but unfutunetley  some of you who should know different  chose to  deviate from the topic.
maybe just maybe there are some who want thistopic closed down by admin.
Thank you.
arthur.
