Dom, You really don’t want to see a grown woman cry, PLEASE! PLEASE ! do not close the chatroom, This room is a lifeline to so many people who use it I for one included. It’s not to everyone’s liking I Know but the people who do use it have become so close it would be such a shame to lose it all. I have made good friends through this site and we all share each other’s highs and lows, Please Dom recondider your decision to close.
Warm regards Gail
Life is a great big canvas, throw all the paint on it you can. :)
I am a man of very few words as my friends in the chat room will tell you. But without the chat room how would we make friends from around the world, and chat to Percy in germany?. how would we found what is happening in the rest of the world at a instant. To plull the plug on the chat room would devastate, some people who use it as a life line to the outside world, and rotheram. Come on there has to be a answer to the problem, or is it gettting like the rest of the UK wot does it |COST.
You cant do this to us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is our social gathering place. We chat, moan, laugh and even cry in there with our "family" Yes we all have msn etc to keep in touch but its not the same as having a room where we can all be there together and have the off chance of a new face popping in and taking that small step from "anon" to "family". Some like this room because they cant type very well or even unable to do so ,it helps us put faces to names . Jeez id even promise to wear a mask and stop scaring people if u’d keep it open Joking aside this room is so much more than just a chat room to the people who use it Dom .Please when you are considering what you are going to do just take a few moments and think about how we all feel about it.
I have just returned from a short break and expected, as suggested before I went away, to see both rooms up and running. Instead I find one room - and that, it seems, is under threat of closure. As a webmaster myself I am aware of the difficulties that can arise in running a site but I feel that there must be another way of securing a future for at least the existing chat room. I agree with all the sentiments quoted on this and the previous 6 pages - to lose the use of the room would simply be a travesty. I would hope that the comments raised in this forum will cause a serious rethink regarding any closure plan. Regards Jack
