Alright Mike, I, meaning myself, wouldn’t dream of useing either form of parenthesis (rhetoric or brackets) together in any correspondence. Nor would I be guilty, of the mistaken use of a comma splice.

G’day Arthur, I was sitting watching the bush telly & downing a coldie when up comes this raw prawn of a Pom going on about commas, fair game I thought, I’ll give him a burl. He started on about parenthesis, I’ll tell you mate he’d come a gutser with that one my bloody oath so I told him to rack off & stormed off to the dunnie.
