Odds and Bits 49

Hi Vicky, Pete, Arthur.
I see we have a rival with a Topic started ref gardening, as was said they did not look too far. Next thing we know we’ll have one ref Wildlife and Birds, time for me to go I think, it just proves to myself that apart from the loyal Odds and Bitters I was flogging a dead horse as I suspected. My membership runs out shortly and I will not be renewing. Piracy on the grand scale?.
Been a pleasure knowing you all and many thanks. Syd.

Hi Syd.
Sorry you are not happy with the Forum, its sad considering what you try and put into it. As a newcomer I find it difficult to become part of Odds and Bits, it needs more contributers  before new people will feel happy there. The few posters in that forum have been there  together for I would think quite a while, and therefore newcomers tend to feel as though they are looking in from the outside. You have tried to welcome all people together, but as you have said it needs more subjects to discuss, and difficult to do this without starting auguments, that is the last thing that you want. We can all carry on talking about Birds and gardening till the cows come home, most  with a lot more knowledge than me, I am happy to talk about Norway life, but the few that are here are going to get fed up with that.
Now Syd, after all that, tell me how this Odds and Bits forum has gone on now for 49  times, that must be close to 10 plus months, there must be something that keeps getting you posters back time and again, and I think that is down a lot to you. So dont sign off just yet, give these other gardeners a run for their money, lets face it with you and Vicky, they dont have a chance when it comes to plants, it could almost be Alan Titchmarsh and Charlie Dimmock talking when you two get going. Wait till the spring and summer, we will all be trying to tell about our gardens and new Birds, of which we have had one come back today,  Mr Bullfinch, you can see him 20 yards away in the trees.
so stop waffling armishaw and let the Maestro enthrall us with some more tales from Syds Bird garden

Now Syd behave .
Our site is ours no matter what a MP has to say about pear  trees Etc.
Though why should he cut down mature pear trees god knows, there is ways of prunning and spreading pears trees so as to get more fruit.
I have roses over 45 years old and still full of flowers it is the matter of using a prunning saw.
