yes got to admit the advertisements on tele are not cheap neither the students coming around, i tend to believe some charities are big buisiness, especially for those at the fore, realise how important charities are for services, aged, animals and a few others, but sceptical to a lot that go abroad, i don,t want anyone shouting at me, but cancer which i,v had friends and family suffer from baffles me in the sense of the amount of money over the last 30 years that has ploughed into research, understand the units that have been set up to house and help while under treatment, no argument, but surely after all these years and with all this research a less painfull treatment should have been found, find it totally distressing to see some after treatment, ie weak, sick, hair loss, also shocked by the number that have relapses when supposedly getting better, i can remember 10 years ago a scientist proclaiming a cure within the next few years, what happened, very rare i hear of of breackthroughs fed up seeing friends and relatives suddenly after tests going downhill, it,s becoming to common. know this is a subject a lot will take personall, i,m only questioning, especially after another mate ringing to inform me he,d been tested positive, again making me aware of painful biopsys.

Robert, I agree with your post above. I often wonder how much from the millions that have gone into research, actually is used for the research. Especially when I see some of the palaces that some of these establishments have as offices. I would rather give the money to to patient direct. Also the millions of dollars that are spent on advertizing for donations could be better spent.
Consult the veteran, not the incompetent Politicians.
There was a cure found years ago however the lucrative money made from keeping it in the public eye that they are still looking for a cure is utter nonsence, those with their hands in your pocket don’t care what they spend, like some of our MPs (manipulating peasants)
