I have not quite reached retirement yet but I must say I have always been treated with respect by young people. There may be some that resent old folk but around here they seem to be very helpful to the older generation.
One day the  young ones who may feel that way will also become old and maybe their thinking will then change.

It is awful if that sort of thing happens Robert.I think the police should really crack down on that sort of intimidation but we all know that they will not,I do not know what the answer is.

Robert, there must be all of 450 other people living in this village. We don’t have street lighting and nobody seems to want it! So, I guess we could safely call this a rural area and I have to say that although there is the occasional bit of vandalism in the children’s play area, as far as I am aware there has never been any violence in the thirty five or so years I have lived here. Are we lucky? Perhaps, but don’t consider anything, seen or heard, on a soap as being representative of rural areas.
Mind you, the last time I saw Coronation Street was in 1963 when I was in digs. Eastenders? I saw the first ten minutes of the very first episode. Cheers, Syd.
