Whether there are 300,001 or only 10 members is, I think, irrelevant. What is important is that every one of us has a unique bond with all the others. As ex service personnel/families, we are united in that we have all served our country in ways no civilian could ever hope to attain. We are set apart, a band of brothers and sisters. As such, there is bound to be a bit of squabbling, but please, guys and gals, lets keep it friendly. If we do occasionly step on each others toes, lets forgive and forget. Life is too short for grudge fights.

3 the forum, you have to look at mundane things sometimes, but follow through and you can find a topic or a good  argument
to offset it,typical let down for me is smudge bits and bobs some times birds different types sometimes seasonal growths, i have no interest there  but i do read them they are educational to some members and i do learn things fromthe threads, however n ot my scene ,i like to trawl through the forums as tonight and i read every comment{this is the reason i am replying, you dominic can be a bit curt, butt you cant run a site on apoliges or love you are a boss man and the site ISrun by youif we have 30000members a few casualties on the run can be left on the ground to be r t u  ed
the topics are exellent but they must be followed by choice by the member interested, if  not interested let them go thro the forums there is something  in there for them, dont let a sikky thread put them off, yogi from an early start i thought he was b bolshy but with a humerous sniggerf he waint bad as we say its a pity, someone must have beaten him at is own game  lomng live forces reunited apoint for forum
when blair steps down and if brown takes over   will we find from the n ext chancellor how much he as had to borrow from world bank toi make it appear we are solvent,.if it is cameron will he like tony throw it back at labour how much we owe and get ready to tighten belts, one does not put on all these taxes
on the country without a reason he ios propping up the country on borrowed money.and believe me a crash will come.

Nice one Roger, and succinct.

I’m actually a bit nervous now after that praise from Teresa: "I love your posts and the latent power behind the controlled responses".I wasn’t aware of being ’latent’ anything, other than when lying down.

Not that I do a lot of that, a bare minimum in fact. When I wake up, I get up, be it at 0500 0r sometimes earlier. I hate being latent in bed if not asleep. That’s what beds are for; we have lounge suites for lounging, although I can often confuse people by becoming very latent on a lounge suite, usually when watching England play at anything. Currently it’s the Ashes, which look to be well and truly incinerated as far as England is concerned.

I once became extremely latent when having an ultra-sound looking for a kidney stone or something. You lie in a darkened room while being smeared with KT jelly, and a nice young lady runs her detector over you. Fortunately the results were positive and I found I was neither pregnant nor had I any stones.

I still booked in for a repeat opinion...she had very nice hands......

I’m a great fan of ’latency’, but I always refer to it as potential.  I have the potential to do most things around the house - immediately - but experience, through study, has taught me that latent energy is to be held as a necessary potential in readiness to meet unexpected demands that may, or may not, occur some time in the distant future.

300,000 Members.

I always thought ’Latent’ meant a tent which was not for the Clergy.

No, Terry, latent is ... hang on ... let me think ... yup, you’re right!  I was getting confused with latent beer tent intent; being something that is almost the reserve of the clergy.
