You have remarkable recuperative powers Byron - yesterday not feeling well and today whizzing in with an answer before the ink is dry (metaphorically speaking of course.  Oh, and full marks for getting it right.

Malcolm,
I didn’t know you were from Barcelona!
Terry.

Let’s see who can work that one out! Clue - ’Married’ to Sybil.

Oh dear, nought out of ten for research chap! Basil was married to Sybil; not Manuel. I’m sure that he would have preferred it the other way around of course
That is to say Manuel married to Sybil, not Manuel married to Basil!!

Good job I am not too tired after a hard shift at the chocolate mines....

Why isn’t there mouse flavoured cat food???!!!!

Aha,
Got you there Mick me boy!!!!!
The clue was, as you so rightly quote - ’Married to Sybil’.
However, it was a little more devious than may appear at first sight.
John Cleese was the writer of Fawlty Towers as well as playing the character who was married to Sybil.  The reference in my post, however, in response to Big Malc’s post was ’I didn’t know you were  from Barcelona’.  The clue was therefore not too obvious but was intended merely to direct the reader to the series.  I rest my case and since it’s coming up to Christmas I’m going to rest my typing finger as well.  I have another use for it for now.
Terry.
