Hello
I have just found out the my G/G Grandad was in the Welsh Fusilier. At this time he was a Private. He was born in Bristol 1836, but i have not parents for him.
He joined on 24/08/1853.
I do know that he married (Wife maiden name still not know) and had children in India in the 1860s and 1870s.
I have just been told to look at this site, but i was wondering what kind of information would this site give me.
I just done a search on his name and found one that could match in the Crimean War and also Victorian Conflicts.
Any help would be grate. I am not yet a paid member i can not view the records. Could someone kindly tell me what kind of information i could find on this site to help me. I have also found out that he received 4 Medals as he was in the Army for over 20 years.
