tax

Quoting: Rev. Roger Perry
Don’t want to brag but today, I paid into my account a cheque for the princely sum of £24;75 from Inland Revenue..............they do give it back sometimes.

Tax...........mmmmmmmmmmmm after I left the RAF I became an RN.  In my 2nd year of training I received a letter from the tax office saying I had earned an extra sixpence towards my pension............it cost more on stamps to send me this info. Wish I had kept the letter.   I now live in Australia and wont be applying for the pension as I have a self funded superanuation and I am still working at 65yrs

Wonder if I apply to UK they will give me some a lump sum . I think it will be the same amount as you Rev. Roger..... still it puts bread and milk on the table.

Being in Oz I have no idea what a pound buys these days.

Sylvia,
Being a ex pat from UK, you are entitled to a UK Part pension which is worked on the No of years you worked in UK.
It is worth it. Even if only to pay some way to the Carbon Tax that we are being forced to endure from July 1st.
Roly

Consult the veteran, not the incompetent Politicians.
