Ray,you could be right about the bad connection,mate.
Just wondering if my charger wire had anything to do with the line appearing--sometimes when plugging in to charge the laptop I found that the charging light did`nt activate unles I "twiddled" it a bit ----found the wires insided the piece going into the laptop connection was broken, ordered a new one on e bay and since then I`ve noticed that the red line has gone, whether this was the cause for the line I`m hoping it was and keeping everything crossed that it has gone--was`nt too keen on buying a new screen--too many birthdays, weddings and christenings coming up soon,need all my pennies for them
