i am looking for info on william john mcdevitt from liverpool. on his marriage cert his occupation is given as soldier but can’t find his name in any records. he was born 1897 & served in both world wars (lied about age in 1st war). i know he was a sniper in ww1 & he later became e regimental sergeant major (regiment not known). i’ve been told he was one of the Kings 110 (whatever that is) & also that he shot at wisley(?). any help would be very much appreciated | | Report Post |
