Sue. Is there not a service number on the Star/ Medal ?.       Good luck.

If you look at the edge of the medal there might be a number,if so this will be his service number.

E. Bishop.

I think you will find that WW2 Campaign medals awarded to British and Canadian troops were not engraved.

My father’s two medals and one star are not engraved.

Some people have their medals privately engraved to enhance the monetary value when they sell them!

Terry, Thank you so much that is very kind of you.

John,Edward and Ray I know the medals do not have ribbons on them I would one day like to get them put back on.

I am at some point today going round my Mums and shall get in the loft and look for the medals and see if they have numbers on them.

Thank you all for your help

Sue.

Just to let you all know I found the medals and they are both 1939 -1945 campaign medals and they do not have any numbers on them.
