Family Search

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to search for my Great Grandfather William Leach who was in the Boer War, I can’t seem to find any record of him. The information I have is he was with the 2/21 Regiment and his eldest son was born under a wagon in Pretoria, Sth Africa.
Also my Grandfather John Neeson was with the Seaforth Highlanders his service number was S/40/44279 and I can’t seem to find anything of him.

Could someone help in what direction I should try.

Thanks
Helen, from OZ
