No luck finding grandfather

Trying to find records, photos and diaries of action from my Grandfather’s time in WW2 with the Kings Own Royal Regiment.  Edward Devall joined in 1939 in Lancaster and went to N.Africa from 1942 - 44.  His army number is 3712385.  But when I put this into the search engine nothing comes up.  He also served in Italy.  I can see in his Army Service book he was also with REECE Corp - but not sure what this is.  If any one can help I would be very grateful.  Thanks Jason Thomas

Hello: you’ll probably be forced to contact the MOD disclosures unit in Glasgow for much detailed information as it’s likely still to be classified.
If you look at the tutorials page on forces war records you’ll see the hints and tips section which has all the details listed.

Most (not all) of the 2.3 million records on the site come from Casualty lists, medal lists, attestation papers, POW reports, mentions on despatches and war diaries, there are a lot of service records but not everyones, and not the classified ones of course.
