A New Year Thought

“So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom”. (Psalm 90:12)

I was once told a story about a student who when putting up a calendar for the new year said, “This is going to be a beautiful year.”
Her  room mate at the college asked ,”How do you know that”?
The student replied, “well, a day is not a long time and the reason I know it is going to be beautiful is because I am going to take the year  one  day at a time so I shall make it a beautiful year by making sure that every one of those  365 days receives at least one beautiful thing through my personal efforts . So if there is something beautiful each day, then the whole year will also be beautiful.”

May this coming year see blessings on all at FR.

Why thank you Roger, and of course the same to you and yours.

I am entirely philosophical about  the "new year"and, having long since given up wondering what it will bring, I simply carry on enjoying what we have. In that respect we are way ahead of what so-called "reality" TV [which is anything but real!] would have us believe we should aspire to becoming. Like current wind up tween age boy-toy, Justin Bieber, or manufactured but otherwise talent less people. Give me Michael Buble any day!

So we’ll simply carry on reminding ourselves that people are individual and there are more good things happen than bad!

All the very best to everyone on FR but remember that once the sentiment runs out, whether or not you have a good, brilliant, or utterly indifferent year ahead, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles and you can’t change it. So relax and enjoy the ride!

Have a good one everyone!
