Left the Army after 23 years in 1991 to become an instructor at Middle Wallop ( bought house locally)
Government moved the job to home of REME, Arborfield Berks in 1995; 38 miles to travel to work instead of 4 miles paid for by the government for 5 years. Defence Training review changed us from REME to Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering under the auspices of the RAF however DEME(A) still the authority for REME training. New Defence College of Aeronautical Training in Wales proposed, cancelled after much expense, move to RAF Lynham in the offing. Hey! what is stated here is not even a tiny bit of what Defence, Training et al has not achieved over the last 20 years despite the amount of money spent doing nothing!! | | Report Post |
