another great night enjoyed by all, strange how you can get thanks just for being sociable, i love a chat  and enjoy talking to anyone who cares to listen be they 6 or 90, any subject, one of my nephews is not much for social events but we ended up having a good chat plus 5 games of pool, sister in law stated that it was the first time he,d ever stopped the distance at a function ie normally a couple of hours and away, i told her  it was me that should be thankful that young uns can enjoy my company ie want to spend time chatting,  nephew who,s 40th it was did a brilliant michael jackson impression of moonwalking, he,s a great lad and had us in stitches, the do finished at 12. 30 but nephew his wife and 3 kids, plus daughter her chap and youngest grandson came back to ours till 3 in the morning, i enjoyed a few scotsmacs and a good laugh with all there, see i can still do it , party on bob, twas after them leaving that wife heard of the demise of one of her favourite singers, whitney, hence wife stopping up till 4.30 listening to her whitney album and shedding a few tears.

youngest grandson moping cause granddaughter not here yet ie was supposed to be here at 9.30 but daughter rang to say that it will now be 10.30, my fault as usual according to grandson, wow he has great expectations of his dad dad, if only i had his surity, aint life great when your his age , if he,s hungery all he has to do is shout and food arrives, if he,s bored all he has to do is shout and dad dad,s there, if he wants to play on games or pool all he has to do is shout and yes i,m there, if i have the same wants in life and shout i,d probably get a clip behind ear or a mouthfull of uncertain language i say uncertain cause it,s some thing about where i should go and it varies in description.

Can i have a moan Bob.?.

Go to the Chemists with a Prescription and the girl behind the counter has a shufti, smiles,  then says "Right can you come back 3 weeks on Wednesday" or in Asda. " It will be an hour".  These days they only have to reach up on the shelf for the Tablets / capsules, Anusol or whatever. Gone are the days when the chemist had to go in the cellar and get Dr. Crippen to concoct your medicine.

To make matters worse when i went back to the counter an hour later a girl aged about 7 in a white coat said " Can you come back about one hour as the Pharmacist is at Lunch and i am not allowed to give out medicines. Showing my Passport / driving licence made no difference so i reclaimed my prescription ( in a basket with my pills) and drove to the next County where there was a Chemist who did not know me (Yet)

John you have it cushy, we have to go at least 300 yards to our local Asda store and at the instore chemist we may have to wait 15-20 minutes. If your really lazy you can fill in a form and they’ll pick your prescription up and deliver it to your house free of charge. I’m so lucky the last prescription I had was for Bonjela( as a baby) my wife however needs an injection of B12 for a booster Thats free,  in fact if you ask out chemist he’ll proberly inject himself to save the wife any pain.

Sorry over to you robert.

sorry gentlemen, don,t wish to brag , but i will, chemists are next door to doctors plus another across the road  ie no problems in cleckheaton, sad though that it is not the same in all areas,  bad enough being poorly without having  to have time wasting or bad communication problems, got to admit though i avoid doctors, no offence to them , i appreciate the free prescriptions for us mature, my youngest daughter has been poorly over weekend, wife picked her up from her home yesterday and took her to doctors, diagnosed ashma, could,nt believe it ie daughter has never had any problems before, prescription cost 28 pounds, had to take 8 steroid tablets in one go, got to admit i,m a bit wary of the lax attitude with pills issued nowadays ie rephrase that to a bit worried, still remember going for a check up for  athritus and being issued a prescription for a number of different tablets due to me being over 60 hence free, like stated before i never took them, thankfully, as if some of the consequences of taking them was similar to the warnings issued on daughters  tablets i would not be a happy man, anyway to change the subject to a more serious one, yesterday was mind blowing with kids around me, have i rephrased that correctly ie mind blowing, that feeling of intense pain in ears, with a slight throbbing of forehead and veins pullsating wherever.
