Status: Offline | | kids are always looking for a status in life ,ie my youngest daughter is going to the x factor auditions, these are the first ones, theres no celebs, a group are picked that are reasonable singers and oddbeats to boost the ratings, these are the ones that simon and co eventually see, my daughter is a good singer but then again so are thousands of other hopefulls, i would not burst her bubble i know she has to find out herself, she,s just turned 18, not long ago she had a letter quoting audition for modelling with a fee of 80 pounds just in case she did not turn up, it would be refunded if she cancelled within month of audition, said money would only be taken at that agreed time, i only found out about this when she was giving bank details, i went wild with her and wife who both thought i was a killjoy, okay i said to daughter check your account in an hour, reluctantly she agreed, one hour exactly and the sum was gone from her account, the people had quoted supplying models for a certain brand of clothing so i through computer checked, the firm had used one model a number of years before, they only used there own people now, then i delved further and found if my daughter attended she would find herself paying from 500 to 2000 pounds to a photographer, which gauranteed her nothing, i made her change her bank account details before they ripped her of again. i do not watch the x factor as they to me are just as bad cowell and co make a fortune out of peoples emotions, they are not embarrassed about some of the shocking antics of the people appearing before them, because these people are picked for viewers to laugh at, which in all honesty i think sad, the lucky few that get through again make a fortune for the chosen few, and sadly there record gets to number one while other singers out there ,better tread the clubs and circuits writing and singing there songs, knowing the record industry is now owned and run by a few people backed by tv, sad. | | Report Post |
